O’Brien meets with PM Kurti

The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, James O’Brien, met with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at the Kosovar executive building on October 21.

Prior to the meeting, the Government had not provided details regarding the event, which began at 15:00.

Earlier in the day, the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, welcomed O’Brien during his first visit to Kosovo and mentioned that they would discuss bilateral issues with Kosovar officials, reaffirming the United States’ commitment to the people of Kosovo.

A day earlier, in Belgrade, O’Brien met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Following this meeting, the Serbian leader said that the discussion with the U.S. official focused on “political solutions in the region, the current situation in Kosovo, and strengthening cooperation in various fields.”
