On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2026, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate, including Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Murphy, Thom Tillis, and Ruben Gallego.
During the meeting, Kurti highlighted Kosovo’s democratic and economic progress, as well as the country’s commitment to joining the European Union. He also underlined the importance of relations with the United States, describing it as an irreplaceable ally.
Regarding relations with Serbia and the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, Kurti reiterated his key preconditions:
“Milan Radoičić must be handed over to face justice, the Basic Agreement must be signed, and the letter from Ana Brnabić, which in written form denies the territorial integrity of our country, must be withdrawn. These steps would ensure accountability and sustainability in the normalization process.”
Kurti stressed that fulfilling these conditions would strengthen trust and stability in the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia, paving the way for more durable and constructive bilateral relations.
