One Dead, Several Injured After Shooting at New Hampshire Country Club

A man was killed and several others were injured following a shooting at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua on Saturday, authorities confirmed.

In a joint statement, New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke said the victim was a man. Police apprehended a male suspect at the scene, stressing that there is no further threat to the public.

Investigation Underway

According to Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley, investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the attack, AP reported.

Witness Accounts

The shooting caused chaotic scenes near a wedding ceremony taking place at the venue. Tom Bartelson of Pepperell, Massachusetts, attending his nephew’s wedding, recalled hearing gunshots and people shouting phrases such as “The children are safe” and “Free Palestine.”

Authorities have not yet released information on the condition of the injured victims, and the investigation remains ongoing.
