Prishtina has been crowned the 2024/25 Kosovo Cup champion, triumphing over Llapi with a narrow 1-0 victory in the final a result that also grants the capital club a place in the UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds.
The match began brightly for Llapi, who looked more dangerous down the right wing early on. In the 11th minute, Dion Gaallapeni sent in a threatening cross, but Prishtina’s goalkeeper Marjan Coric dealt with it calmly.
Axel Gnapi missed two successive chances for Prishtina, while Llapi’s Hasani tried his luck in the 16th minute, only to be denied by the solid Prishtina defense.
Gnapi remained a constant threat throughout the first half but failed to convert his opportunities. Llapi’s counterattacks were fast but broke down in the final pass. The best chance of the half came in the 43rd minute, when Ardit Tahiri nearly scored for Llapi, only for goalkeeper Kolaj to snatch the ball at his feet.
The second half took a sharp turn for Llapi when Arbnor Ramadani received his second yellow card in the 58th minute for a careless foul, leaving his team with ten men.
Just two minutes later, Prishtina capitalized on the advantage. Albin Krasniqi scored the decisive goal in the 60th minute, slotting home after a lovely assist from Ardian Limani.
Ramiz Bytyqi almost doubled the lead in the 77th minute, but Elvir Gashaj blocked his shot at the last moment.
Prishtina held firm until the final whistle, securing the Kosovo Cup title and a precious ticket to European competition next season.
