A year after the passing of the literary genius of Albanian letters, Ismail Kadare, his works and literary legacy are once again at the forefront of cultural events in Tirana, Rks News reports.

Original versions of his book covers published before the 1990s have been brought out from the archives of the National Library and the Kadare House to be displayed at the writer’s studio-museum — becoming a living tribute to one of the greatest figures of Albanian literature, according to A2 CNN.

In addition, the museum is hosting special reading sessions for children, as part of an effort to introduce Kadare’s works to younger generations. Meanwhile, a new collection of 100 portraits of the writer — documenting his life and creative journey through photographs — has been presented at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Since July 1st of last year, the day of Kadare’s death has become a symbolic date for remembrance and homage. In the first week of July, his name undoubtedly dominates Albania’s literary and artistic scene.
