In the capital city of Kosovo, Prishtina, the race for mayor is nearing its conclusion, with only three uncounted ballot boxes remaining, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).

The current results show a tight race between Përparim Rama of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and Hajrulla Çeku of Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (VV).

  • Rama leads with 34,752 votes (33.76%)
  • Çeku follows closely with 34,022 votes (33.05%)
  • Third place goes to Uran Ismaili of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 28,588 votes (27.77%)

Based on these results, it is almost certain that Prishtina will go to a runoff between Rama and Çeku to determine the city’s next mayor.
