Police officials from the Directorate for the Investigation of Drug Trafficking in Mitrovica conducted an operation code-named “Lavazhi” (The Wash), leading to the arrest of three people suspected of involvement in drug trafficking. The action was carried out in Mitrovica after a search warrant was issued by the Basic Court.
During the raids, with assistance from the Special Operations Unit and forensics, authorities seized a significant amount of evidence, including:
- 184.8g of suspected marijuana
- 85g of suspected cocaine
- 1,080 euros in cash
- 2 digital scales
- 3 vehicles and 3 mobile phones
The three arrested individuals, one of whom is a minor, face charges for the unauthorized possession and sale of narcotics. By a prosecutor’s decision, two of the suspects were remanded for 48 hours, while the minor was remanded for 24 hours.
