The Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, met on Tuesday with the Acting Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi.
According to an official statement, the meeting focused on the importance of strong and accountable local governance in the process of implementing reforms.
Orav emphasized that the recent elections in Kosovo highlight the crucial role of local democracy in engaging citizens and shaping policies that reflect the needs of communities.
“The recent elections in Kosovo demonstrate how local democracy engages people and shapes policies that reflect community needs through decision-making that is close to citizens,” Orav stated.
