The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today met with the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, for a farewell meeting. During this meeting, Osmani and Hovenier laid flowers at the statue of President Ibrahim Rugova, where they also made statements to the media, as reported by Gazeta Express.

“On the first day when Ambassador Hovenier presented his credentials, we placed flowers at the statue of President Rugova, and we are closing it the same way here at the monument, honoring President Rugova, the founding father of our Republic, the man who proved that protecting sovereignty and protecting alliances go hand in hand and are closely intertwined,” Osmani said.
