President Vjosa Osmani has reacted on her official Facebook page following her acceptance of the Europe Prize awarded by the Pan-European Coudenhove-Kalergi Foundation in Vienna.
Osmani highlighted that this same prestigious award had been granted two decades ago to Kosovo’s historic president, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.
She emphasized that the award represents a broader honor not just for her personally, but for the entire Republic of Kosovo.
“Today, in the heart of Europe, in Vienna, I respectfully accepted the Europe Prize from the Pan-European Coudenhove-Kalergi Foundation, at a special ceremony organized by PanEuropa. Two decades ago, this same prize was awarded to Kosovo’s historic President, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. This is an honor for the Republic of Kosovo and proof that our European path built on Rugova’s vision for peace, democracy, and transatlantic partnership continues with determination. For the Kosovo that believes, stands tall, and moves forward!”
