President Vjosa Osmani said Kosovo felt the strength of American support following remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump during the inaugural meeting of the Peace Board in Washington, D.C..
After attending the event, Osmani publicly thanked Trump, emphasizing the importance of the United States’ backing for Kosovo.
“Kosovo today felt the weight of the American guarantee. Thank you, President Trump,” Osmani said in a statement after the meeting.
Her reaction came after Trump addressed her directly during the gathering, telling the Kosovo president to call him whenever Kosovo faces difficulties in its relations with Serbia.
Trump has repeatedly stated that his administration helped prevent a potential conflict between Kosovo and Serbia, highlighting the United States’ continued involvement in maintaining stability in the region.
Osmani’s comments underscore the ongoing strategic partnership between Kosovo and the United States, particularly in the context of regional security and diplomatic engagement.
