The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with the Mufti Naim Tërnava at the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK) to extend her Eid al-Fitr greetings.

Osmani expressed hope that this holiday would bring everyone together and strengthen solidarity.

“I wish all citizens of our Republic a blessed Eid al-Fitr, sending them my best wishes, hoping that the Almighty has accepted everyone’s prayers and fasting, and hoping that this day, as it has throughout our history, brings us all together, opens hearts and doors, strengthens solidarity, and enhances the human values that have always united us as a people, especially during the most difficult times, when it was precisely this unity—opening hearts and doors—that helped us overcome very challenging periods for our state and our nation,” Osmani said.

She also thanked the Islamic Community, led by Mufti Tërnava, and all Kosovo’s allies.

“I want to thank the Mufti and all his collaborators across Kosovo within the Islamic Community of Kosovo for the extraordinary work they do throughout the year, and especially during the holy month of Ramadan, supporting families in need, ensuring that every family experiences prosperity, harmony, and support, feeling the hand of assistance even during difficult times. I also want to thank our friends and allies, who often through the state and the Islamic Community help families in Kosovo. I want to thank our generous citizens, including those from our diaspora, who have never closed their hearts but always opened them, helping every family in need to celebrate today and feel the hand of solidarity beyond the Eid holiday.

Once again, I thank the Mufti for the very good and close cooperation we have had over the years, which has been and continues to be in the interest of the Republic of Kosovo, the strengthening of our state, and for the work they do, not only during Ramadan,” Osmani told the media.
