President Vjosa Osmani has awarded the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, with the “Dr. Ibrahim Rugova” Order.
The French Ambassador, Olivier Guerot, was among the first to congratulate his American counterpart on receiving this honor.
“Tonight was a wonderful evening with my friend and colleague, Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier, who was awarded the ‘Dr. Ibrahim Rugova’ Order by President Vjosa Osmani,” said Guerot.
“A well-deserved award for a great ambassador. It was an honor to work with him and assist Kosovo on its Euro-Atlantic path,” he added.
According to the Presidency of Kosovo, the “Dr. Ibrahim Rugova” Order for Peace, Democracy, and Humanism is awarded to individuals whose lifetime work is considered a special contribution to building peace, developing democracy, and fostering humanism.
