President Vjosa Osmani delivered a powerful address at the closing session of the European Political Community Leaders’ Summit in Tirana, directly appealing to European leaders to remove the measures imposed on Kosovo by the European Union.

Addressing the assembled leaders, President Osmani stated, “At this table, I represent a state that has measures imposed by the European Union, and no one here can tell us the reason why this is still the case.”

She passionately called for the lifting of these sanctions, emphasizing their detrimental impact on the hopes of Kosovo’s young people.

“For that reason, allow me once again to appeal to all the states of the European Union and the European leadership to have the courage to take that decision to remove those measures for the most pro-European state in the world,” President Osmani urged.

Her remarks underscore the growing frustration within Kosovo regarding the continued EU measures and her direct appeal to the highest levels of European leadership for their removal.
