The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has emphasized the importance of reforms and investments in the defense and security sector, stating that these efforts are positioning Kosovo among partner countries that share the values of freedom and security.
In a Facebook post, President Osmani revealed that her statements were made during her participation in a panel as part of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session in the United States, where she spoke about Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and security in the Western Balkans.
“As part of the activities at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session in the U.S., I had the honor of speaking on the panel regarding Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and peace and security in the Western Balkans. Our reforms and investment in defense and security are positioning Kosovo as a partner among countries that share the same values of freedom and security,” Osmani wrote.
She also underlined the crucial role of the United States and other allies in helping build a more secure and stable region.
“With the support of our strategic ally, the United States of America, and other allies, we are strengthening the foundation of a more secure, stable region committed to democratic values,” the President added.
