President Vjosa Osmani met this week with the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. mission in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, to discuss the latest developments in the country, with a particular focus on security issues and other topics of mutual interest.

The meeting also addressed the importance of coordination with Kosovo’s partners to ensure sustained success in achieving common objectives.

Nearly a year after Serbia’s act of aggression against Kosovo, President Osmani emphasized that the lack of accountability and justice for those responsible undermines peace and security not only in Kosovo but also in the region.

She also highlighted that the existence of illegal structures in the north hampers the full integration of the Serbian community, and that fighting these illegal structures benefits the citizens in that area and strengthens the rule of law.
