President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, delivered a speech before the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Dayton, USA, which she later shared publicly.
In her address, Osmani emphasized Kosovo’s unwavering trust in NATO and the alliance’s commitment to peace.
“In Kosovo, we believe in the power of this Alliance’s transparency not just its military strength, not just its strategic achievements, but its unwavering commitment to peace,” said Osmani, as reported by Klan Kosova.
Furthermore, Osmani called on NATO to formally open its doors to the Republic of Kosovo.
“Kosovo is doing its part. It’s time for NATO to open its doors to partners like Kosovo,” she stated.
She also highlighted that the war in Ukraine serves as a stark reminder that peace is not guaranteed.
