The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, stated that regardless of who wins the U.S. presidential election, whether Democrat Kamala Harris or Republican Donald Trump, the United States will remain Kosovo’s most important strategic ally.
When asked about the impact of the American elections on Kosovo, the President emphasized that Kosovo has continuously received the support of the U.S. government, regardless of who has been leading the White House.
“We gained our freedom when Democrats were in power, and we declared our independence when Republicans were in government. Therefore, Kosovo has truly been blessed with bipartisan American support. It is a decision of the American people, and we will continue to cooperate with whoever is elected. What matters is that the U.S. continues to be the leader of the free world and Kosovo’s most important strategic ally. That will continue to be the case after this date,” Osmani stated in a media statement after participating in the launch of the UNICEF report on the climate situation for children in Pristina.
