Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani participated in the European Forum held in Austria, where discussions focused on Kosovo’s future steps, geopolitical developments affecting the country, and the European Union perspective.

Osmani emphasized the importance of Kosovo’s rapid integration into international alliances.

“It is crucial to move forward quickly on strategic priorities, which includes NATO membership,” Osmani said.

She added that the country is strengthening its defense capabilities, including armament and soldier training.

“We are investing heavily in our defense industry and even have skilled personnel for this. For countries still facing security challenges, it is essential that the younger generation continuously learns that freedom is never guaranteed and never given. Democracy is never guaranteed and never given. These are values worth fighting for,” she continued.

Osmani also spoke about the last war in Kosovo and the role of allies in preventing genocide in the country.
