Osmani: Kosovo Will Always Remain Grateful to the United States for Its Unwavering Support

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, attended the ceremony marking the change of command of the Regional Command–East of the KFOR mission at Camp Bondsteel.

During the ceremony, outgoing commander Jonathan Lloyd formally handed over the position to Sam Sargeant. President Osmani congratulated Colonel Sargeant on assuming his new role and assured him of the full support of Kosovo’s institutions in fulfilling the mandate of the NATO-led KFOR mission.

In her remarks, Osmani emphasized that Kosovo will always remain grateful to the United States for its unwavering support, highlighting Washington’s role throughout the country’s state-building process and efforts to strengthen peace and security.

She also stressed the critical importance of the presence of U.S. troops in Kosovo, noting that their deployment not only guarantees long-term stability and security but also sends a clear message of commitment to peace and security across the region.
