Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has signed a decree mandating Albin Kurti to form the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
This decision follows the official proposal from the Vetëvendosje Movement, which won the largest number of seats in the Assembly in the February 9 elections.
“According to the Constitution, the mandate-holder for forming the Government, Mr. Kurti, is obliged to present the composition and program of the Government to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo for approval no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of the decree,” the announcement stated.
The President wished success to Mr. Kurti, the acting Prime Minister, expressing hope that the Republic of Kosovo will soon have a Government with a full constitutional mandate.
