President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held a meeting with Arbër Pajaziti, Mayor of Bujanoc, to address key issues facing the Albanian communities in the Presevo Valley, particularly the facilitation of citizenship procedures for residents of Medvegja, Presheva, and Bujanoc.

In a statement, President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to supporting Albanians in the Valley in realizing their rights in line with international human rights standards.

Commitment to Albanian Rights in the Valley

“The institutions of the Republic of Kosovo remain committed to continuously supporting Albanians living in Presheva, Bujanoc, and Medvegja in achieving their rights in accordance with the highest human rights standards,” President Osmani stated.

The discussion also highlighted challenges faced by the Valley’s residents, with both leaders emphasizing the importance of addressing these issues through practical solutions.

Acknowledgment and Future Initiatives

Mayor Pajaziti expressed gratitude for President Osmani’s advocacy for the rights of Albanians in the Valley on international platforms. They also discussed initiatives to provide further support to the communities in Presheva, Medvegja, and Bujanoc.
