President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, welcomed General Wesley K. Clark, the former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO for Europe, in a significant meeting where she honored his role in Kosovo’s history. General Clark led the NATO intervention in 1999, a pivotal moment that helped secure Kosovo’s liberation.
“Your determination and leadership were crucial in securing the freedom of Kosovo, creating a future where dignity prevails over fear and oppression,” President Osmani emphasized, as reported by the Presidency.
During their meeting, President Osmani highlighted the strides Kosovo has made over the years, particularly in strengthening its international standing. She underscored ongoing efforts to solidify Kosovo’s position on the global stage, including active work towards joining international organizations.
“Our future is clear,” Osmani stated, “and it lies in euroatlantic integration and a sustainable partnership with the United States.”
