During the meeting, President Osmani congratulated the group on their party’s recent election victory.
Osmani emphasized that the establishment of this group marks a significant step in the relationship between Kosovo and the UK and will play a crucial role in strengthening the enduring partnership between the two nations, according to a statement from the Presidency.
She expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom for its unwavering commitment to supporting Kosovo and its ongoing efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Quoting former British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s 1999 statement, “With the Labour Party came freedom,” President Osmani underscored the importance of continued UK support for Kosovo. She highlighted that a secure and stable Kosovo directly contributes to a safer Europe.
President Osmani also stressed that in the realm of bilateral relations, special focus should be placed on collaboration in defense and security.
The meeting also covered the potential for deepening cooperation in other areas of mutual interest, aimed at benefiting citizens in both countries.
