The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with the Prime Minister of Latvia, Evika Siliņa, on Friday during the European Political Community summit.
Osmani announced that Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe and the removal of measures against Kosovo were among the topics discussed during the meeting.
“Latvia is a strong partner of Kosovo, supporting not only our state-building efforts but also our efforts for Euro-Atlantic integration. With Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, we discussed our unwavering commitment to advancing on our European path, with a particular focus on Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, the lifting of measures against Kosovo, and advancing with our candidate status,” she wrote on Facebook.
On Wednesday, Osmani traveled to Hungary, where she participated in the European Political Community summit.
Leaders from 47 countries across the continent were present in Budapest for the summit.
