President Vjosa Osmani met today with the Secretary-General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Amer Kapetanovic, where they discussed deepening cooperation and the issue of missing persons, reports Rks News.
According to a statement, during the meeting, they discussed Kosovo’s commitment to cooperation as a key step for stability and progress.
“She praised regional initiatives that are contributing to increased cooperation among neighboring countries in our region, emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities without procedural or political obstacles,” the statement read.
In addition, Osmani and Kapetanovic also discussed the Berlin Process, where the president stated that more dedication is needed to refocus on resolving the fate of those who have been forcibly disappeared.
“Furthermore, President Osmani emphasized the vital importance of investing in empowering girls and women, describing this as a prerequisite for improving well-being and advancing regional development. She also emphasized that Kosovo has confirmed its constructive role in the region and reaffirmed its commitment to full integration into the regional framework,” the statement added.
