This afternoon, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, met with President Vjosa Osmani.

According to PDK spokesperson Faton Abdullahu, Krasniqi reiterated the party’s position that there is no parliamentary majority for the formation of a new government.

“Yes, this afternoon, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, met with President Osmani to reaffirm PDK’s clear and principled stance, previously made public through an official statement, that the Kosovo Assembly does not have a majority to form a new government from this legislature. In this context, any new mandate for anyone from the Vetëvendosje Movement would be merely a futile attempt to buy time, an unnecessary delay that would only deepen the political crisis, institutional uncertainty, and the citizens’ loss of trust in institutions,” Abdullahu said.
