The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has expressed her heartfelt condolences following the passing of the prominent writer, journalist, and intellectual, Rushit Ramabaja.
Through a post on Facebook, the Office of the President of Kosovo announced that Osmani conveyed her deep sorrow over the loss of a distinguished figure in Albanian culture and journalism in Kosovo.
“With deep sorrow, I received the news of the passing of Rushit Ramabaja, a writer, journalist, and engaged intellectual, a remarkable name in Albanian culture and journalism in Kosovo. For decades, through his work at ‘Rilindja’, Radio Kosova, and through a rich literary legacy of over 20 works, he gave voice to critical thought, free expression, and creative spirit. His work and dedication will live on in the cultural memory of our country,” the Presidential post read.
President Osmani extended her deepest condolences to the Ramabaja family, friends, colleagues, and the entire cultural community, emphasizing that the memory of Rushit Ramabaja will remain everlasting.
“My sincerest condolences to the Ramabaja family, friends, colleagues, and the entire cultural community. May the memory of Rushit Ramabaja remain eternal!” Osmani wrote.
