On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani visited the Handikos center in Ferizaj, where she praised the dedication and spirit of the community working there.

In a Facebook post, Osmani emphasized that people with disabilities teach society every day what courage and resilience truly mean.

“Our greatest strength is humanity. At Handikos in Ferizaj, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I met individuals who, through their strength, willpower, and immense spirit, show us what courage means,” Osmani wrote.

She added that within the Handikos community she sees commitment and determination that overcome every obstacle.

“Where many see barriers, they build bridges; where others grow tired, they move forward with faith,” the President stated.

Osmani described Handikos as a “home of a community with big hearts,” highlighting the center’s mission focused on rights, equality, and inclusion.

“Handikos is a home to a community with big hearts, working every day for rights, equality, and inclusion. Respect for persons with special needs who remind us that the highest values of a society are measured by how we treat those who need support the most,” she added.
