Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the 26th anniversary of the Pastasellë massacre in Rahovec, as well as the massacre in Burim, Malisheva.

She emphasized that Kosovo will not cease its pursuit of justice for the victims of these atrocities.

“A quarter of a century ago, the forces of Serbia’s genocidal regime committed horrific crimes against Kosovo’s civilian population. In 1999, in Pastasellë, Rahovec, 106 men, women, and children were brutally murdered and massacred. The same wave of violence continued in Burim, Malisheva, where 42 innocent civilians were mercilessly executed. But our memory does not fade. History cannot be forgotten. With dedication and determination, we will continue to uphold the truth and seek justice for the victims of this genocide,” Osmani stated.

Today marks 26 years since the massacre in Pastasellë, Rahovec. During this massacre, Serbian forces killed and brutally massacred 106 people from this village and surrounding areas.
