Vjosa Osmani, President of Kosovo, was received at the U.S. Department of State by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Osmani, the meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral alliance between Kosovo and the United States, as well as Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and NATO membership aspirations. She also expressed gratitude for U.S. support for Kosovo’s participation in the Peace Board.
“We discussed the critical importance of Kosovo’s NATO membership and the opening of new chapters of cooperation in the economy and defense as part of our strategic partnership,” Osmani wrote.
She emphasized that Kosovo, standing “shoulder to shoulder” with the United States, remains committed to strengthening peace, security, and addressing shared global challenges.
In her official post, Osmani highlighted the 18th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and the U.S., calling the meeting a special honor. She thanked the U.S. for its decisive support for Kosovo’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and American military presence, which she described as key to regional stability.
