Osmani Receives Credentials of New Estonian Ambassador

President Vjosa Osmani today received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Estonia to Kosovo, Karin Anna Maandi.

In a statement, the Presidency said that Osmani welcomed Ambassador Maandi to Kosovo and congratulated her on her appointment, expressing confidence that her mandate would further strengthen relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Estonia.

“President Osmani expressed deep appreciation for Estonia’s continuous, principled, and vocal support for Kosovo’s independence, sovereignty, and strengthening of its international standing, emphasizing that Kosovo has consistently aligned itself with EU policies,” the statement read.

During the meeting, Osmani and Maandi discussed deepening cooperation with Estonia in areas such as defense, digitalization, electronic public services, cybersecurity, Euro-Atlantic integration, and other fields of mutual interest, according to the Presidency.

“Regarding regional security and stability, President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to peace, security, and stability in the Western Balkans, thanking Estonia for its contribution to European security. In this context, she also thanked Estonia for its continued advocacy for Kosovo’s European aspirations, particularly regarding its candidate status for EU membership and membership in the Council of Europe,” the statement added.
