A few days ago, the President of Kosovo visited Poland, where she gave interviews to various Polish media outlets. In an interview published by Gazetaprawna, President Osmani spoke about Serbia, the threats the region faces from the Serbian state, and Aleksandar Vučić’s ties with Russia.
“When the leaders of Serbia stop glorifying criminals, the entire region will move forward toward Euro-Atlantic integration. Serbia has never abandoned the legacy of Milošević,” said President Osmani.
In the interview, Osmani also stated that Serbia “dances to Putin’s tune.”
Speaking about the Polish troops stationed in Kosovo as part of KFOR, Osmani said that Polish soldiers help Kosovo protect its border against potential attacks from Serbia, a state that continues its aggression toward neighboring countries 25 years after the war.
“Since 1999, thousands of Polish soldiers have served in Kosovo, primarily in my hometown of Mitrovica. Our gratitude is immense; these soldiers, along with others from NATO, have contributed to making Kosovo a safe country. At the same time, we are able to take steps toward Euro-Atlantic integration. Currently, around 250 Polish soldiers serve in Kosovo, helping us protect our borders against possible attacks from Serbia, which continues its aggression against its neighbors 25 years after the war,” Osmani told the Polish newspaper.
