The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančiq.
During the meeting, they discussed the importance of the excellent relations between the two countries, confirming readiness for their further advancement.

President Osmani expressed deep appreciation for Slovenia’s unwavering support on Kosovo’s path to freedom, independence, and state-building.
According to President Osmani, Slovenia is a strong friend and ally of Kosovo, expressing gratitude for Slovenia’s continuous support in strengthening Kosovo’s international position.
“Slovenia and Kosovo have a strong bond, and we are committed to working together to address common challenges and leverage numerous opportunities for cooperation. Through collaboration, we can achieve our common goals and contribute to maintaining stability and prosperity in our region and beyond,” emphasized President Osmani.
President Osmani stated that Kosovo is a positive example in the region with progress in the rule of law, the fight against corruption and organized crime, transparency, good governance, and respect for human rights.

President Osmani underscored that Kosovo’s foreign policy aims to strengthen its international position and membership in international organizations, highlighting the important role of parliamentary diplomacy.
In this context, President Osmani emphasized the need for continued Slovenian support for EU and NATO membership, as well as membership in international organizations.
They also discussed the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation between friendship groups in both parliaments and reciprocal exchange of experiences.
Discussions also focused on a wide range of issues, including increasing cooperation in the fields of economy, information technology, empowering women and youth, etc.
