Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani hosted Jonathan Hargreaves, the British Ambassador to Kosovo, to express her gratitude for the United Kingdom’s ongoing support in Kosovo’s state-building efforts.
President Osmani acknowledged the UK’s essential role in Kosovo’s development and thanked the country for its continued support in various areas, particularly security, defense, and institutional reforms.
“Discussions focused on the strong bilateral cooperation in the fields of security and defense, with appreciation for the UK’s consistent support in institutional reforms and promoting the rule of law,” President Osmani said. She also stressed the need to raise the level of strategic cooperation, particularly as Kosovo prepares for NATO membership.
Osmani also expressed her appreciation for the Chevening Scholarship program, highlighting opportunities for expanding educational and cultural exchanges between the two nations. She underlined the importance of mutual collaboration to address challenges and advance shared goals.
In this context, President Osmani reiterated her willingness to further strengthen the relationship between Kosovo and the UK in all areas.
