President Vjosa Osmani today commemorated September 7, the Day of the Adoption of the Kaçanik Constitution.
She stated that September 7, 1990, the day the Kaçanik Constitution was adopted, is a historic moment in Kosovo’s journey towards freedom. This historic act symbolizes the courage, unity, and determination of the people of Kosovo in their relentless struggle for freedom and independence. On this day, we honor the visionaries, legislators, and patriots who risked everything for the future of Kosovo. The adoption of the Kaçanik Constitution laid the legal foundations of the Republic of Kosovo and paved the way for independence in 2008. The bravery of those who adopted this constitution will be remembered forever as a crucial chapter in the long and difficult journey of the people of Kosovo towards freedom and independence,” said Osmani.
