The international conference “Expand to US + AI Conference 2025” was held in Prishtina, bringing together institutional leaders, municipal representatives, technology experts, and members of the Creative Hub to discuss the development of artificial intelligence and opportunities for cooperation between Kosovo and the United States.

🇽🇰 President Osmani: “Kosovo’s future belongs to the brave”

President Vjosa Osmani praised the new generation of Kosovo’s innovators, emphasizing that the country’s success in technology and innovation is built upon the courage of young people who refuse to be limited.

“Kosovo’s achievements in the fields of technology and innovation are the result of a generation that refused to be defined by limitations. A generation that saw technology as a key to open doors that were once closed to us,” said Osmani.
“Our youth are proving that Kosovo can compete globally. What matters most is how we choose to use technology — to empower, not replace people. We want technology that reflects our values and innovation that creates opportunity, not inequality.”

She added that Kosovo’s greatest natural resource is its people.

“Our strength lies not underground, but in the creativity and resilience of our people. We are a nation of dreamers, engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs who started with little more than a laptop and a vision,” Osmani declared.
“These young innovators are rewriting what it means to be from Kosovo — showing that our future will not be written by others, but by us.”

🎓 Creative Hub: Bringing American education to Kosovo

Arijana Koskarova, director of Creative Hub Kosova, said the goal is to give Kosovo’s youth access to American education and international opportunities.

“In 2024, we became the first Balkan academy accredited by the U.S. Department of Education to issue American diplomas — even for students in Kosovo, in either Albanian or English,” she said.

Koskarova also announced the “Creative Hub AI Scholarship Fund”, aiming to raise €100,000 to support young Kosovars in AI education, starting with the Hub’s own €10,000 contribution.

🏙️ Rama: “Prishtina is becoming a smart city”

Prishtina’s mayor, Përparim Rama, highlighted the city’s rapid digital transformation.

“We have invested heavily in turning Prishtina into a smart city. Today, we monitor traffic, waste management, and even manhole covers with smart sensors,” he said.
“Our schools now have digital curricula and smart boards, and we are integrating AI into every student’s account to support personalized learning.”

🧠 Totaj: “AI is already part of governance in Prizren”

Prizren’s mayor, Shaqir Totaj, emphasized that artificial intelligence is no longer futuristic — it’s already reshaping governance and public services.

“In Prizren, AI is about people — about making governance more human, efficient, and transparent. We’ve made digitalization a political and administrative priority, and the results are already visible,” Totaj said.

The conference concluded with a shared message: Kosovo’s digital future will be shaped by its own innovators, educators, and leaders — in partnership with global allies like the United States.
