Osmani: The role of the U.S. has been decisive for Kosovo’s fate, peace, freedom, and state-building

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received a delegation of U.S. Congressional staff during a visit organized by the Atlantic Council.

According to the statement from the Presidency, the meeting focused on recent developments in the country and the region, strategic relations with the United States, and Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic perspective.

President Osmani expressed gratitude for the continuous and bipartisan support from the U.S. Congress, emphasizing the importance of both chambers in maintaining peace, security, and strengthening Kosovo’s international standing.

The statement further notes that Osmani stressed the decisive role of the United States in Kosovo’s destiny, particularly in its peace, freedom, and state-building process.

“She reaffirmed the Republic of Kosovo’s commitment to peace and to membership in NATO and the EU, describing Euro-Atlantic integration as a key step toward strengthening security and stability in Kosovo, the region, and the entire European continent,” the statement concludes.
