The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has stated that there are still people in Kosovo trying to hide the weapons used in the September 24th attack in Banjska. During an interview with Radio Free Europe in English, Osmani mentioned a recent operation by the Kosovo Police in which weapons left in that part of Kosovo since the Banjska incident were found.
“Weapons are being hidden by certain individuals in the north who are cooperating with ‘gangs’ in Serbia,” Osmani said.
The President also reiterated her claim that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić “is directly involved” in the paramilitary and terrorist attack in Banjska, Zvečan, last year.
“This is not a political supposition. I truly know that Aleksandar Vučić is directly involved in ordering the attack in Banjska,” she said, adding that Kosovo’s partners in NATO and other Balkan countries are also aware of this.
“When dealing with such minds, you need to gather, reorganize, and understand who your friends and partners are, and work with them to prevent scenarios like this that are trying to take our region back to the 1990s,” she said.
