The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that she and Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama provided detailed information to U.S. President Donald Trump about ongoing developments in The Hague related to the trial of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, as well as the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

Speaking in an interview with Klan Kosova, Osmani explained that both topics were discussed thoroughly, adding that they received strong assurances from Trump, for which she publicly expressed gratitude.

“We discussed both issues. I do not believe it is in Kosovo’s interest to provide more details at this time. I want to assure you that we discussed both topics and received strong guarantees, for which I thank President Trump once again. When the time comes, Prime Minister Rama and I will speak in more detail about these matters, but we have informed President Trump thoroughly,” Osmani said.

According to the president, the discussions focused on the judicial process in The Hague and the broader political dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, though she did not reveal further specifics.
