Osmani Travels to Brussels for EU–Western Balkans Summit; Presidency Says Lifting Measures Is a Priority

President Vjosa Osmani has traveled to Brussels, where she will take part in the EU–Western Balkans Summit, the Office of the President of Kosovo announced.

According to the Presidency, the summit will focus on strengthening the partnership between the European Union and the Western Balkans, with particular emphasis on the EU enlargement process and advancing the region’s European perspective.

During the summit, President Osmani is expected to hold meetings with leaders of EU institutions and engage with other participating leaders on issues of key importance to Kosovo.

“The lifting of measures against Kosovo and moving forward on the path of European integration will be a priority during the discussions,” the Presidency stated.

The summit agenda also includes discussions on the Western Balkans Growth Plan, strengthening economic integration with the EU’s single market, as well as issues related to economic development, investment, and reforms.

In addition, leaders will address cooperation in the fields of security and defense, including the Common Foreign and Security Policy, countering hybrid and cyber threats, migration management, and shared regional and European challenges.
