Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani gave an interview to POLITICO while walking through Berlin, discussing a range of issues including the fight against corruption and organized crime.
When asked about the upcoming visit of German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul to Kosovo and the region, Osmani stated that he had found the right partner.
Osmani highlighted that in the past five years, Kosovo has dismantled 900 criminal gangs.
“Finally, in Kosovo, he has the partner he has been looking for all along. Over the past five years, we have dismantled more than 900 criminal gangs. We cut the chain that was called the ‘Balkan mafia.’ There are no criminal gangs left in our country,” Osmani said.
