President Vjosa Osmani officially welcomed delegates from participating countries to the International Forum on Women, Peace, and Security, which kicked off today in Prishtina, Kosovo.
The two-day event is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Kosovo and aims to foster global dialogue and action on gender, peacebuilding, and international security.

Global Participation and Key Discussions
The forum features over 30 discussion panels and brings together more than 150 speakers from over 45 countries, including world leaders, diplomats, academics, and activists. Topics include the role of women in conflict resolution, peacekeeping, human rights, and sustainable development.
Public Safety Measures During the Forum
Due to the high-level nature of the event, the Kosovo Police have implemented special security and traffic control measures in Prishtina on June 2 and 3, 2025.
Authorities announced temporary road closures near key locations to ensure smooth transit for official delegations and to support the overall safety and organization of the forum.
The police also emphasized they would redirect traffic to alternative routes and asked for the public’s understanding and cooperation during these brief disruptions.
