The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Gerard McGurk, warmly congratulating him on the start of his mandate and wishing him success in his new role, reports Rks News.
During the conversation, President Osmani praised the long-standing and solid partnership that the OSCE has built with Kosovo’s institutions and citizens.
She emphasized that “this mission has played a key role in strengthening democracy, promoting good governance, and advancing the rule of law in our country.”
President Osmani reaffirmed the readiness of Kosovo’s institutions to deepen cooperation with the OSCE, especially in areas such as reform, transparency, and the protection of human rights.
She added that “she expects the OSCE to continue supporting Kosovo’s key priorities, including gender equality and support for marginalized groups.”
