The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has thanked USAID in Kosovo on the 25th anniversary of its establishment in the country.

Reflecting on Milosevic’s genocidal war, Osmani recalled that the hand extended to the people of Kosovo was indeed the American hand.

“Twenty-five years ago, after Milosevic’s genocidal war, when the wounds were fresh and dreams were shattered, a hand was extended to us. It was the hand of friendship, the hand of partnership—the hand of the American people. Today, we see the legacy of our partnership with USAID in every corner of our country,” Osmani wrote alongside a published video.
