NATO has made a documentary about its mission during its 75 years of existence, since its creation in 1949.
The documentary touches on the defining moments of the Organization today, through the words and personal experiences of the characters who witnessed these key moments. The documentary covers some of the key moments of NATO’s intervention, starting with the Cold War when NATO prevented the Soviet Union from attacking Western Europe.
Further, it is mentioned how in the 1990s, NATO helped to end ethnic conflicts in the Western Balkans, including the war in Kosovo. “NATO’s intervention ended the conflict,” says the NATO documentary.
