The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, together with the Kosovo Police, has arrested a second group of four suspects related to the drug lab raid on April 23, when a marijuana cultivation facility was uncovered. The suspects are believed to have cultivated around 175 Cannabis Sativa plants in an indoor lab.

According to the prosecution, the suspects cultivated the plants without authorization and used sophisticated equipment such as artificial lighting, heating systems, pesticides, and ventilators to create an optimal growing environment for cannabis. The plants were later dried and prepared for sale. One of the suspects is also accused of planning to sell the narcotics to various individuals.

During the investigation, authorities found 14 packages of suspected cocaine weighing 11.2 grams, a nylon bag of marijuana weighing 1.2 grams, and additional cocaine and cannabis-related materials in the suspect’s vehicle and residence. Additionally, digital scales, money, and cellphones were seized.

One of the arrested individuals is suspected of aiding in the illegal activity by offering a residential property for hiding and caring for the cannabis plants.

The prosecutor has requested detention for the four suspects, and temporary seizure orders for the two residential properties have been issued, with the prosecutor planning to seek a final seizure order in court.
