Germany’s outgoing Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, has expressed her support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky following his tense meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Baerbock reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to Ukraine, stating that the country is not alone.

“Germany, together with our European allies, stands united with Ukraine—and against Russian aggression. Ukraine can rely on unwavering support from Germany, Europe, and beyond. Their defense of democracy and their pursuit of peace and security is also ours,” Baerbock declared.

Her remarks come amid escalating tensions following Zelensky’s clash with Trump, which led to the cancellation of a planned U.S.-Ukraine rare minerals agreement.
