The civic initiative “Lëvizja Ndryshe” has announced that it has already gathered over 11,000 signatures in its online petition calling for changes to the Special Court for Kosovo.

The initiative’s goal is to reach 50,000 signatures, which organizers say would represent a significant voice of opposition to the current functioning of the court.

According to the petition, the key demands are:

  • Independent oversight of the Special Court by the European Union
  • Guarantees for fair trial
  • The establishment of a joint oversight body in cooperation with institutions from the United States and Kosovo
  • The exclusion of files originating from Serbia’s BIA (Security Intelligence Agency) and Serbian government sources

Supporters argue that these steps are necessary to ensure justice, transparency, and impartiality in proceedings, while preventing political interference.
