The Commission for Registration and Assessment of Flood Damages in Rahovec Municipality has so far received around 320 requests from affected citizens.
The Municipality of Rahovec had previously called on residents to apply for compensation for damages caused by last week’s floods.
On Tuesday, this call was reiterated, announcing that the application deadline has been extended until January 14.
“Residents of Rahovec Municipality affected by the floods are invited to submit their applications for registration and assessment of damages on January 14, 2026, by 16:00, at the municipal administration, at service desks No. 6, 7, and 8,” the municipality stated in its announcement.
Additionally, the Municipality clarified that for damages to public infrastructure, representatives of villages and urban neighborhoods should contact the Directorate of Public Services of Rahovec Municipality to register damages caused to bridges, landslides, roads, parks, public lighting poles, and other similar damages.
